동아시아 활쏘기의 변천과 문화양상 탐구 : 韓中蒙日의 弓矢 文化를 중심으로
본 연구는 한·중·몽·일에 전승된 활과 화살의 제작 및 활쏘기문화 탐구를 통해 동아시아 활쏘기의 변천과 문화양상을 도출함에 있으며, 결 과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 한국 활 ‘각궁’은 대나무를 중심으로 물소뿔, 쇠심줄, 뽕나무, 참나무, 자작나무 껍질을 민어 부레풀로 접합한 합성궁 이며, ‘죽시’는 대나무, 철제촉, 꿩깃, 싸리나무, 복숭아나무 껍질 등의 천연소재로 제작한 비행성, 방향성이 우수한 전통 화살이다. 둘째, 중국 활은 나무에 뿔, 쇠심줄을 아교로 붙이고, 실을 감은 후 옻칠을 한 사거 리는 짧으나 강한 활이고, 화살은 참나뭇과에 속한 신갈나무를 잘게 쪼 개서 곧게 편 후, 칠면조 깃과 철제 촉을 붙여 만든다. 셋째, 몽골 활은 나무에 뿔, 쇠심줄을 아교로 붙이고 가죽으로 싼 후 칠을 하고, 화살촉 은 둥근 모양이며, 독수리 깃을 사용한다. 넷째, 일본 활 ‘화궁’은 약 221cm가 표준이며, 줌통이 활 중심 아래인 상장하단의 구조다, 화살은 대나무, 철촉, 칠면조 깃과 신소재 섬유제품 화살을 사용하는 것과 같이 동아시아의 전통 궁시는 천연소재를 사용하였다는 공통점을 갖는다.
A Comparative Study on the Transition and Cultural Aspects of East Asian Archery : Focusing on Bows and Arrows in Korea, China, Mongolia and Japan
This study is bows and arrows and the culture of archery in Korea, China, Mongolia, and Japan, and the results are as follows. First, the Korean bow ‘Gakgung’ is made by attaching bamboo, water buffalo horn, steel tendon, mulberry tree, oak tree, and birch bark with an adhesive made from the bladder a croaker. Arrows are made of bamboo, iron nib, pheasant feathers, and peach tree bark, and have excellent flying and directivity. Second, Chinese bows are made by gluing horns and steel tendons to wood, wrapping them with thread, and painting them with lacquer. The arrows are split and straightened out of wood, and turkey feathers and iron nib are attached. Third, Mongolian bows are made by attaching horns and cow tendons to wood with glue. Make the arrowheads round. Fourth, Japanese bow made bamboo is 221cm, bow is long on the top and short on the bottom, and the arrow is made of bamboo, steel tip, turkey feather. The characteristic of East Asian archery culture is nature-friendly.
